UAE’s Sustainable Development Goal: Viable Economic Development that is Encompassing
Despite notable achievements in fostering an atmosphere where a highly efficient workforce may thrive, MOHRE will keep working to train the UAE employee base. First, MOHRE works to guarantee that UAE nationals have access to the skills and professional career advancement that will help them realise their full potential.
This will further boost labour force productivity and participation. Recent initiatives include career planning support and advice, collaborations with the private market to facilitate a seamless transition from tertiary education to employment, initiatives to foster an entrepreneurial culture, and legislative changes to better balance advantages between the public and private sectors, most notably new born care and unemployment benefits.
Second, as the UAE moves to a knowledge - based economy, the government keeps working to entice foreign talent into critical value-added sectors including information technology, Research & Development, high-value manufacturing, and professions relating to health and medicine.
Additionally, the UAE strives to strengthen the capabilities of its domestic workforce in addition to providing a home for the greatest talent to thrive through aggressive pushes into industries like space, artificial intelligence, and SMART cities.
MOHRE is always trying to improve access to complaint services and inform the workforce of their rights and the lawful options open to them in order to boost worker protection in the nation and ensure a secure and safe work environment for all.
This involves strengthening the country's enforcement of labour laws and making Thorough Data and Goal to improve (with CIOP) available prior to entry. In addition, MOHRE launched the ADD- Abu Dhabi Dialogue in collaboration with other GCC nations and those that make up the majority of the countries where expatriate employees come from.
The goal of this programme is to make the UAE a successful example of a new sustainable future while boosting its competitiveness and protecting the future of the environment. The programme will put the UAE in a position to become a global leader and hub for the export & re-export of green goods and technologies, as well as to preserve a sustainable environment that allows long-term economic growth.
The project also includes new environmental regulations and laws pertaining to building and construction, as well as a variety of programmes and policies in the fields of energy, agriculture, investment, and sustainable transportation.
The concept of Sustainable tourism
The creation of a National Tourism & Development Strategy in collaboration with the UNWTO, the expansion of the TSA system, and the creation of the regulatory and legislative foundation for a federally funded tourism legislation for the UAE are all ongoing projects.
The Economy Ministry is promoting tourist development in new regions across the 7 Emirates and views local community participation in tourism programmes as crucial. The Ministry also keeps promoting the UAE in the major travel source markets and creates efforts to break into new ones.
